Tristan Benedict-Hall

Tristan has been one of Joe’s best friends since middle school. Growing up together, Joe and Tristan shared many early family vacations, with much time in the car devoted to trying to stump Tristan's dad, an actual rocket scientist. Tristan has a big heart and a creative side and he loves the outdoors; many of his hobbies can be summed up by walking through the aisles of REI.

Tristan lives in Charlottesville, Virgina where he and Grace Boyle run A Mystery in Common, an organic clothing company and screen printing studio.


Evrim Dogu

Evrim has also been one of Joe’s best friends since middle school. The two lived together for a year in Richmond during college, where Evrim was a catalyst for Joe’s interest in cooking. Evrim is passionate about food and music, makes a mean pudding, and has a penchant for story-telling and poetry reading.

Evrim lives in Richmond and operates a subscription-based bakery using locally milled flour and wild yeast.


Jordan Utz

Jordan and Joe grew up together and spent their younger years acting like ogres. As they have matured, they have taken up acting like older ogres.
 
Jordan can claim to have bought more beer than anyone else at the wedding (which, given the crowd is a strong statement!) He currently works as a beer buyer for an organic grocery store in Asheville, and is pursuing a career in brewing artisanal beer. Jordan is up for a debate and has strong opinions, but is always friendly in his victory.
 


Tony Finnestad

Tony and Joe attended the Culinary Institute of America together where their first business venture, a red candy dispenser, failed horribly (due to Joe eating the inventory.) Joe looks forward to doing business with Tony in the future.

Tony will be traveling from Austin where he lives with his girlfriend Leann. He develops recipes for a restaurant consulting firm, and contributes to the blog dish-bliss.com


Chris Flint

Chris and Joe worked together at Bouley and Bar Blanc restaurants in New York City. Together with Christian, the two chefs frequented The Pakistani Tea House for fresh naan, and various not-so-fresh curries. They once held a mustache-growing contest that lasted for six months.

Chris works as a Sous Chef at Eleven Madison Park in New York City.
  


Aaron Maines

Arguably the most fashionable of the wedding party, Aaron and Joe met at the Sundance where they quickly bonded over West Coast snow, “dimple-marking” Budweiser cans, and Bill Brasky. Aaron and Joe have opposing viewpoints regarding vegetables.

Aaron lives with his wife Becki in Santa Monica where he works as an agent representing US soccer players on professional American and European teams.


Craig Rivard

Craig and Joe went from classmates at culinary school to good friends while working at the local taco shop. Craig is from the Midwest and maintains a strong work ethic. He knows how to relax, however, as Craig recently introduced Joe to the delicious simplicity of a classic daiquiri. 

Craig lives with his fiancée Mowgli in Brooklyn and is the Executive Chef at the Clover Club and Lani Kai.  


Christian Rowan

Christian always looks like he is up to something, even when he is not.  Now known as "Dimples", Christian is famous for late night pizza eating on the Houston church steps, surfing all over the world, and managing to be a great cook at the same time. Along with Chris, Sebastian, and Joe, Christian was part of the Bouley Gentlemens Club. NYC hasn't been the same since.

Christian is the Chef de Cuisine at La Mangeoire in NYC.


Sebastian Zijp

Often found wearing glasses and a sweater-vest, Sebastian is affectionately known by Katie as "The Gentleman Chef.” Sebastian and Joe worked together at Bouley and Bar Blanc and have many stories about these experiences.

Sebastian and his girlfriend Michelle enjoy playing "old-time" music together. Sebastian is the Chef de Cuisine at Boqueria in New York City.
